If you send me another comment with your email address (which I won't publish) or contact me through the Contact Form in the side bar to the right of the page, I'll send you an email address to send it to. Sorry this is complicated, but this comments form doesn't give me your email!Nick Kingsleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03588322361791532910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-704095971276575721.post-26517435965465651592016-09-21T15:03:34.391+01:002016-09-21T15:03:34.391+01:00In 1968, I married a daughter of the Head Gamekeep...In 1968, I married a daughter of the Head Gamekeeper on the Manby Estate when it was owned by the Duke of Westminster. The service took place Broughton Parish Church which has a mixture of both Saxon and Norman origins, but it also has an Anderson Chapel. I was frequently around the Estate a few years prior to my marriage and can clearly recall just a small cornerpiece being left of the Hall. Some say it was demolished about 1970, which could be a little wrong, however the daughter (now in her 90s) of a much earlier Keeper is the proud possessor of J.H. Storey's lithograph of the Hall, produced after alterations to the building c. 1863. I had only previously seen a crude postcard of it shown in a state of dereliction. I managed to get a photographic image of the print taken through some rather dirty glass but sadly a coat of arms and a title have hardly picked up. I have seen the print on other sites, so it's not that rare. Can email a scanned copy over to you if you wish, in which case, all I need is your address. I am an artist/illustrator and that is why I'm so interested, in particular it's social history -- Stephen HillAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-704095971276575721.post-28911828954331045872016-08-13T22:26:56.466+01:002016-08-13T22:26:56.466+01:00Brilliant website.
