I have visited Lilfford Park in researching my ancestors. My grandfather was Edmund Atherton as was my great-grandfather who came to Australia in 1844. I am very interested in knowing more about my Atherton ancestors in Lancashire . I have lots of material, photos, stories re my Atherton family, which I have collected. I would be most interested to be in touch with Athertons and your research.
